Did they not recently also sell off Bethel Spain?
If so, any idea what happened to the money?

i'm asking this because when i was in ( disfellowshipped in 2009 ) some "sisters" wouldn't even look at you unless you had the title ministerial servant or worse elder.
i notice this when i was in because one of my friends thinks that by becoming a ms he could get the better looking witness girls.
tell me your stories of this..
the nosy elder at the congregation i attend until i can get out very soon (just quickly: born in, was headed towards unbaptized pub but changed my mind about that and baptism) pulled me aside and showed me the scripture about coming across the body of water and asking "what prevents me from getting baptized" and i really want a quick, preferably smart-ass reply the next time he puts me on the spot like that.. .
.
fire away!
The only example of an age for baptism being mentioned in the Bible is that of Jesus. He was 30, the age of being a legal adult back then.
maybe i am off base, but it seems that the last year or so hasn't had the standard retoric about how "imminent, close, or soon" the end will be.
it seems as if the focus is now on obeying the governing body.
have you noticed this?.
this is a shunning story that was recently conveyed to me by email.

there are many times when i'd think did the wbts they just make that up, so that they could print it within their article or did that happen they for real !
... well here is an example within the february 2011 awake (page 32).
i quote:.
So Jehovah made sure that Jesus was protected...but lets 25000 pedophiles go ahead and damage many children in his sole earthly organization. What kind of God is this...oh yeah, he only exists in peoples imagination...
The example further appears to be made up. A doctor would never ask that in relation to a three year old. But then again, the WTBTS is good at making these things up...
wonder if anyone had a scan available of the 2010 annual report, which can normally be found in the 2011 yearbook.. .
thanks in advance!.

in 2009 annual meeting report, the report was given of these stats:.
u.s. 7/09 new peak in pubs and again in 8/09 land mark of 1,154,275 pubs.
making a 4% increase over last year.
Does anyone have the 2010 figures yet - these should be in the 2011 yearbook.
